Total Eurocentric Western thinking can lead to the destruction of inherent spiritual essence. You can be fooled into absolute and abject passivity. Completely anesthetized to the point of not knowing real spirit, real issues in life, real possibilities, and real total existence. None of the failures of the Western tradition is by design, but it is a fundamental misunderstanding of the traditions that preceded it. Anyway, there are good parts in both Eurocentrism and Western ideology, worldview. As a total system however, it is not a fulfilling path for a diverse world full of cultures and wide-ranging wisdom. Oddly enough, even at the prospect of a spiritual identity totally obliterated, the possibility remains to get back on track. The course of the spirit does not follow linearly with physical life experience. Recovery is possible.
