Stimulus for the People

Stimulus payments really should go directly to every day citizens. The effort to subsidize small and midsize businesses is a noble effort. We tried that several times this year and saw good results. Yet, the biggest boost came when we directly lifted up citizens.

When more money is in the hands of every day people that directly boosts the economy. People will spend that money in shops and on groceries, fuel and daily living expenses. Increased consumer spending creates a ripple effect reflected in corporate earnings. That leads to jobs and sustained civil services through sales and business tax.

Putting most of the money into the hands of citizens boosts the economy by creating a reliable source of customers. Businesses need customers and states need tax paying businesses. Stimulus in the hands of every day citizens raises up and sustains the economy from its foundations which starts with people acquiring products and services.
